WATERPARK & EQUESTRIAN CLOSED UNTIL 04.13.20 DUE TO COVID-19

After careful consideration of the health and safety of our guests, our employees and our community, Double JJ Resort has made the difficult decision to close the Waterpark, Equestrian Department, as well as most of the resort, effective at the end of business on Monday, March 16.  We will be offering a take out and delivery of food and beverages effective March 17, 2020, Menu to be on or Website and Facebook, March 17, 2020.

At this time, we plan to resume operations for hotel and lodging, Waterpark, Equestrian, Golf, and Restaurant normal operation on Monday, April 13, 2020 unless otherwise communicated. Individuals who had lodging reservations, during this time period will be contacted to arrange cancellation or rescheduling.

We plan to use this time period to deep clean the resort and complete essential maintenance projects that are difficult to complete during the Spring and Summer. This will allow us to continue to employ a number of our staff, as well as ensure that our facilities are clean and ready for the much anticipated arrival of our guests when it is safe for them to return. 

We will continue to closely monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19 and will work diligently to communicate any changes to the above plan with our guests and employees as they happen.

COVID-19 UPDATE

We understand that many of us are uneasy with the news regarding the spread of the COVID- 19 Virus. We know spending time together with your family is important, and we want you to have confidence that we are taking steps to ensure your family’s safety and well-being. We’ve been gathering regular updates and guidance from the CDC and state-level health departments to ensure we are implementing known best practices.

We have had guests ask about the water park environment in relation to COVID-19. The CDC recently stated that there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread through the use of pools or hot tubs, and that proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.

During this period of uncertainty, we want you to know that Double JJ Resort is taking the necessary precautions. We are going above and beyond our normal cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Some of these things include:

· Increased frequency of wiping down and sanitizing all public and employee countertops, rails, door handles, restrooms, ATM’s, phones, menus, arcade games, elevators, etc. Anything that comes in contact with an employee or guest will get our attention.

· We have placed hand-sanitation stations and disinfecting wipes throughout the resort to provide our guests with a convenient method of maintaining good personal hygiene.

· Along with the hand sanitizers, we are encouraging all guests and employees to wash hands frequently with soap and warm water.

· We are asking all of our team to please not come to work if they are feeling under the weather.

We recognize the uncertainty of the current situation and wanted to take a moment to share with you that we are doing everything possible to provide for the health and safety of you and your family each time you visit Double JJ Resort.
