Build Your Own Bobsled Competition – BYOB

The Double JJ Resort has teamed up with The Muskegon Channel to bring back the famous… Build Your Own Bobsled!!!
HOW IT WORKS:
The rules are simple. Cardboard. Duct tape. Creativity! You can design to impress, build for speed or both! Anything from flat pieces of cardboard with tape on them to giant pirate ships, Sherman Tanks and more! Your imagination is key!!
Teams of up to 5 ( up to4 sledders – one pusher) people will race in bobsleds constructed only of cardboard and duct tape on Double JJ’s tubing hill in two divisions, youths 12 & under and adults 13 years of age and older.
Bobsleds can be constructed of ONLY cardboard and tape but get creative with your design and decorations. Completed entry forms and event waivers are due February 21st. There is a 2 person minimum per sled. Each team captain must check-in at the BYOB event registration table prior to racing. A completed entry form and event waiver are required to qualify. Participants or spectators may not bring food or drink on to Double JJ property. This is a pre-registration form only… there will be some minor paperwork to fill out on-site at the event.
Do you have a business to advertise? Build a bobsled! Are you part of a team or organization? Build a bobsled! Family, friends, a neighborhood project, you name it. Come on up for a fun day on the hill and show off your mad skills when it comes to designing something fun and functional!

*Bring a donation to The Ladder Community Center and save $5 on admission
Trophies will be given to the 1st 2nd and 3rd place winners in each division. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest sled and most creative sled in both youth and adult divisions!
